Charles McNeil

Executive Chairman

Charlie McNeil is the founder and CEO of NexGen Resources. Charlie has decades of experience developing energy-related projects and was most recently chairman of the board of Tinuum Group, a large, refined coal development company. He is a former trustee of Colorado School of Mines, and a member of Brigham Young University President’s Leadership Council. A BYU business school scholarship was endowed by Charlie, and the Colorado School of Mines formed the McNeil Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation in his name.

Thomas McCarthy

Chief Executive Officer

Tom has been working in corporate finance, project development, and private equity for over 30 years.   Most recently, Tom was a Senior Managing Director with Republic Financial Corporation and Vice President of Business Development for Tinuum Group. Tinuum Group was a private project finance development company focused on reducing emissions in the power industry. Since 2009, Tinuum developed projects which generated over $3 billion in US federal tax credits.

Daniel Elcan

Managing Director

Dan is President and Chief Executive Officer of Elcan and Associates.  Elcan and Associates is a developer in the commercial real estate industry. Dan began his involvement in the energy business by developing synfuel projects in the late 1990’s. Since that time, Dan has been a partner and investor in several similar energy businesses.  Dan has also been a successful investor in oil and gas projects.
